‘Lexia’ in ‘3Dlexia’ means ‘Words’ in Greek. While ‘words’ are used in 3Dlexia MindMaps to convey new knowledge, their power is maximized through multi-dimensional, multisensory, interactive pictures, audio enhancements, and personalized learning features.

Users (teachers and students or students supported by parents or tutors) log into 3Dlexia MindMaps library, choose the 3DM they need (ex: English as a foreign language, Grammar, Study Skills & Life skills- Present Simple), and download it on a tablet or on PC for better results. 3DMs can be downloaded on smartphones too, but for better use, tablets and pcs are recommended. PCs connected with interactive boards support the ultimate presentation and experience of 3DMs.

Users watch the video of ‘How to get started with your 3DM’ and click in the info button to read the instructions before its use. They are then ready to begin your interactive session with the 3DM.

Users start ‘discovering’ knowledge by clicking on the 3D stickers and star buttons found on 3DMs, stimulating their curiosity to enhance learning. They start by clicking on the central icon in the middle of the 3DM and continue on 3DM branches following a clockwise direction. By interacting with the additional left-side and bottom-line buttons, users are given the freedom to personalize their 3DMs, by creating, constructing, designing and experimenting, saving and printing their personalized 3DM version. They can add texts, URLs, icons, drawings, and save and print their final work, maximizing the power of their 3DM and its benefits.

Tapping on the 3D Stickers and expanding golden Stars on the 3DlexiaMaps, users unlock creativity, develop knowledge of the specific subject-matter, boost memory and experience the sense of exploring new information.

There is a linear presentation button for all information presented in the 3DM to enhance analytical and verbal skills, summarizing information in a ‘lexis’, word version.

When users have interacted as much as they need and at their own pace in and outside the classroom (according to the license of their 3DM) they can play the interactive games in a single-player or team mode, to practice knowledge, receive feedback and assess their learning in a fun, motivational way.
